County, like many governments -- including the library districts,
is dealing with pressures on its budget from many outside sources.
Despite those difficulties, Mr. Diana and
Mr. Berkman continue to show their support for the county's
public libraries in securing continued funding. County aid is important
to Middletown, and all county libraries. It's also a recognition
of the role Orange County's public libaries play in the life-long
education process of county residents; as suppliers of unbiased,
up-to-the-minute information for our taxpayers; and as a major contributor
to the quality of life for this area. Once again, our thanks.
